MA – CRY OF SILENCE : FESTIVALS 

Burmese director The Maw Naing‘s last feature film MA-Cry of silence, written by Youngjeong Oh and coproduced by Massala with One Point Zero (Myanmar), Plus Point One (South Korea), Potocol (Singapore), DuoFilms (Norway) and Alpha Violet Production (France) will have its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). The film will be screened in the “New Currents” section, a competition dedicated to up-and-coming  Asian filmmakers’ first or second features.  

​Mi-Thet, a young Burmese woman working in a garment factory is faced by a desperate strike organized by her colleagues. When learning about the violent history of her country, she decides to join the protest.
